So..... who are V.A.M.P?
Introducing........ Jay Viper
Jay Viper started DJing in the mid 90s, inspired by the tapes he heard from The Drome, in Birkenhead as well as the Helter-Skelter & Club Kinetic tape packs. After gaining a regular spot in The Drome Jay helped to promote and play at a variety of up and coming nights in the Liverpool area including Masters of Bounce, Hard Headed & Equinox, Jay also played for pretty much every promotion of the harder dance scene including a couple of slots at Garlands in the SOHO, Uprising, Revolution, Kubik, Generate, Distortion, UltraViolent, FutureShock and even at a GoodGreef after party.
In recent years Jay has performed at Reminisce Festival in St Helens in the Legends arena, Bowlers in Manchester for the Stu Allan Festival, The world famous Club 051 for the Drome revival, and the Kinetic Reunion in Keele University (all with repeat bookings.) as well as a residency for Savage Boxing.
Jay also hosts a weekly 2 hour show on In Demand Radio (The number one radio station in Merseyside), this show has been running for over 2 years and features “Oldskool” music ranging from late 80s early rave, a Trance Flashback section which encompasses hard trance from 1990 – 2015, and a Go Hard or Go Home section which could be Hard House, Hardstyle, Bouncy Techno or Hardcore.
His stage presence and un-matchable energy behind the decks took him as far afield as Derby, Manchester, Stoke, Sheffield, Chesterfield and Northern Ireland. More versatile than a potato waffle Jay has took to the stage playing many different genres over the years including Hard Trance, Hard House, HardStyle, Uk Hardcore, Gabber but most of it now comes under the umbrella of “OldSKool”.
Jay is also the host of The Couture 303 Podcast which has featured a who’s who of Dj’s Mc’s, Producers and even singers sharing their stories about their particular journey through the dance music scene, including Rozalla, Slipmatt, Vibes & Livelee, Steve Cocky, Ian Redman (Ultrabeat) Ian Bland (Dream Frequency) and many many more.

Career highlights
MCMental has held residencies with major hardcore events from 2005 onwards, continuing to perform with the most prominent DJ’s in the UK.
He has also featured on hundreds of CD packs, DVD recordings, Dance albums
and old tape packs from 2000 to the present day. MC Mental was nominated for Best
Breakthrough MC in the Hardcore Heaven Awards (2005) and Best MC (2006/07).
Notable Residencies
MCMental has played venues all over the UK, including a recent appearance at Reminisce Festival. His current residencies also include Uprising, Kinetic, Back to the Dock and Totally Lost it with past appearances including Ravers Reunited, Vibealite, FutureVibe, Fantasia and Destruction.
